Agnico Eagle proudly hosted the NHL Alumni Benefit Hockey Game at The Barn in South Porcupine, uniting legendary NHL Alumni with Ontario regional employees from Detour Lake Mine, Timmins offices, and Macassa Mine. The event brought together colleagues, families, and friends—more than 300 strong—for a day of sport, camaraderie, and giving back.

Macassa advanced to the final, taking on the NHL Alumni in an exciting showdown that gave employees the rare chance to skate alongside hockey legends.

Beyond the competition, the event carried a deeper meaning. A $25,000 donation to the Special Olympics underscored Agnico Eagle’s commitment to supporting local charities and promoting the importance of physical activity, mental well-being, and connection. Employees also enjoyed a public skate, meet-and-greets, and family-friendly activities, making the day a true celebration of community.

Agnico Eagle extends heartfelt thanks to the NHL Alumni, Mystique Marketing, event volunteers, and all participants for making the day a success. Events like these reflect the company’s values: teamwork, inclusivity, and pride in Northern Ontario both on and off the ice.
